As a lifelong pet owner (and currently proud Mom to two golden retrievers – Chet and Sully) Penny Sullivan realized early on, long before professional pet sitting became more common, how stressful it can be to board pets in an austere environment where they are away from the comforts of home. She found it difficult to board her own pets, knowing firsthand how much they would miss their family – much less be caged and surrounded by other strange animals with constant barking and all sorts of unfamiliar sounds during the night. It’s been proven countless times that pets are most comfortable in their own home – even when their owners are not there. Besides being able to sleep and play in familiar surroundings, they are able to maintain a regular diet and schedule and most important, they aren’t put at risk of catching contagious kennel illnesses and diseases. At Professional Pet Sitting, however, we go way beyond what traditional pet sitters might do. Maybe you have a special needs pet that requires medication or trips to the veterinarian for medical procedures…or maybe your pet just needs an extra potty break during the day.
